Using virtual reality to help those entering life after death



Can virtual reality be used to help those that are close to death or those confined to a bed?

A B.C. hospice gives patients 'bucket list' experiences with a virtual reality program designed to help patients check off bucket list items.  Patients can look at the stars, go on trips and fulfill end-of-life wishes with the new system.

The VR experience was moving for all those involved, including the staff supporting the patient. "It was truly an inspirational and defining moment for me, it was just breathtaking,"

The new company working on a toolkit to help other hospices bring in the new technology and offer virtual wish-granting services to their patients.
