Doubt is part of human nature, and you must use your strong voice inside your head to always prevail over your weaker doubting voice. The goal is not to stop the weak voice...that is impossible to control at all times...the goal is to make sure that your strong voice of optimism and positive energy wins the daily battles.
Failure is almost always associated with its negative attributes...but as you gain more experience and success...you start to realize that these failures/obstacles are just a part of the path that you have chosen. You cannot avoid them as a rule...you overcome obstacles and failures as part of the journey. You had better spend a significant amount of your energy winning the battle over doubt and setbacks.
Coaches have to be the complete optimist in their general state of mind...because if you knew all of the problems you'd encounter along the way...you'd probably never start building any team.
